Western Kingbird, Tyrannus verticalis
The Western Kingbird constantly lives up to his name; he is the king of his immediate area, chasing off all intruders. It's found on almost every ranch in the West, where alfalfa and livestock pastures provide many of the flying insects that make up the bulk of its diet.
