Carolina Wren, Thryothorus ludovicianus
An attractive bird with a distinctive white eyebrow, Carolina wrens make their nests in all sorts of cavities—in trees, stone walls and even the pockets of coats drying on a clothesline. Their songs are quite varied. This ringtone is the call most often heard in the spring as males are courting mates. As the impacts of global warming increase, Carolina wrens are living further and further north.
