Little Blue Heron

Egretta caerulea

The Little Blue is one of the most numerous herons in the Southeast and is often observed in mixed concentrations of herons and egrets. Unlike the egrets, it has no fancy plumes and was thus spared by plume hunters. This video provides great views of both mature and juvenile Little Blue Herons wading and feeding. No audio.
